Situated in the heart of the picturesque Georgian town of Bewdley, the museum offers a friendly welcome and entertaining experience for the whole family.

Open daily - including Bank Holidays

11.00am - 4.00pm 1st - 31st October
Closed November - March

*Last admission 30 minutes before closing

The Shambles


Housed in a historic and unusual 18th century butchers shambles, this unique museum illustrates the growth and trades of the town as well as the crafts of the surrounding Wyre Forest area through fascinating indoor and outdoor displays.

Traditional crafts are brought to life through daily demonstrations. See a clay pipe or rope being made - and if you are feeling energetic lend a hand!

Clay pipe making demonstrations are held throughout the day.

Rope making demonstrations: 11.30am, 2.00pm and 3.30pm daily.


Explore the old brass foundry, watch resident craft people at work or just relax in the lovely museum gardens.
